What is Invisalign?
Dr. Mullally Is Proud To Be An Invisalign Premier Provider
Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with 3D computer imaging technology and has been proven effective.
You'll wear each set of aligners for about 5-14 days (depending on the difficulty of movements and if using Propel — accelerated treatment), removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week — until they have straightened to the final position your doctor has prescribed. You'll visit our practice about once every 8-12 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-12 months with some cases finishing much faster and other more complex cases taking close to 18 months.
Why Choose Invisalign?
- Invisible and removable
- Eat and drink whatever you want while in treatment
- Brush and floss just as you normally would — no extra cleaning around brackets and wires
- More comfortable — no metal to cause mouth abrasions
- No emergencies from broken brackets or poking wires
- Fewer and less frequent office visits means less time in the dental chair
- No concerns with playing sports or practicing an instrument
Will Invisalign work for me?
For invisalign to work, it requires 2 things:
- A committed patient that truly wears his/her aligners as prescribed
- A doctor with the knowledge and experience to diagnose the problems, develop a treatment plan and then design/program the plastic to perform the movements needed
iTero Element Intraoral Scanner
We are proud to offer the iTero Element, the latest in digital scanning
Studio32 Orthodontics utilizes the iTero Element Itraoral Scanner which is engineered specifically to work with Invisalign braces. The iTero allows our orthodontists to easily scan and view oral images in 3D, all while chairside with the patient for easy access and comfort. iTero scanning is different than an X-Ray process as scans are able to be taken in motion, which means patients don't have to wait for each click! Images are automatically stitched together for easy viewing and no waiting.
iTero Element Intraoral scanning is an alternative to traditional impressions, which can be uncomfortable and messy. But not only does iTero offer a better, gag-free chairside service, it can also improve your Invisalign experience. Invisalign patients who start treatment with iTero scans have seven times fewer fit issues than those who opted for traditional impressions. A better fit means your Invisalign system will be more comfortable and can align your teeth in a more optimal fashion.
