I love to smile. In fact, I smile all the time.
There is an old saying that “the shortest distance between two people is a smile.” This couldn't be truer! A smile is such a powerful thing. It connects people, comforts others, lifts spirits and brings out inner beauty.
My favorite moment is when treatment is finished and we take off the braces or Invisalign and the patients sees his/her smile for the first time. It’s hard not to tear up watching my patients overflowing with joy and self confidence.
After completing my undergraduate studies in Biology at Vanderbilt University, I spent time living abroad in England and exploring the many sites and cultures of Europe. (I brought home an Englishman too!) I returned to academics at the University of Florida receiving my Masters in Medical Sciences and then my Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Following dental school, I braved the snow to attend Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI to earn my Masters and Certificate in Orthodontics.

Continuing Education and Professional Collaboration
To provide my patients with the highest quality treatment, I stay current with the latest techniques and research in orthodontics. I attend many national continuing education classes every year. I am Invisalign® certified and am an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Florida Association of Orthodontists, the Alachua County Dental Association and the American Automobile Association (Technically true, but just a joke for those that actually read this far!)
In The Office
Providing excellent orthodontic care to my patients is my number one priority. I take time to sit down with each patient individually and address any concerns or questions they may have regarding treatment. My patients have found that I have a friendly and positive attitude and I strive to make braces fun as well as functional. Being a mother of three I know the importance of a gentle hand and a warm smile. Parents are always welcome to participate in their child's appointments. My favorite part of being an orthodontist is seeing my patients smile from beginning to end.
Outside The Office
I was born and raised right here in Gainesville, Florida. When I am not with patients, I stay busy raising my three young daughters with my husband, Andy (that Englishman I brought home with me😉 ). Together we enjoy the outdoors, road trips, keeping the peace between 3 girls, and of course, cheering on the Gators. I am also a big fan of modern design, love all kinds of craft projects and am thrilled when I can keep my plants alive for a whole season.
